A recent article in The Telegraph about research done at The University of Portsmouth. This showed how people felt 40% less pain when they used reflexology as a method of pain relief.
Well conducted research
For those who don’t know me yet, I do love a piece of well conducted research which backs up the evidence I have seen myself from working with clients over the last 30 years.
Pain stopped golfer
One elderly client who came to see me with lower back problems, was having hip replacement in 4 months and he wanted to be able to play golf throughout the summer until his operation.
Drug free treatment
Reflexology works on the feet and the hip reflexes are near the heel area. This is the area I work on last. Each time he came, halfway through the session his pain had eased and was totally gone by the end of the treatment.
Teeing off again
He would then go off and play golf over the next 10 days, pain free until his next appointment. Reflexology kept him exercising and pain free over the months until he had his operation.
